Happy New Year!

2015 began with a bang! Two births in the first week of the year have made me a very happy (and very tired) doula. This week I will be focusing on self-care after providing almost 60 hours!!! of birth support over the course of 4 days.

Baby in Mother's Arms

Reflecting back on the past year, I've been so blessed to be a part of each family's journey to meet their new baby. Some were long, some were very difficult, but all were incredible in their own right. As I hear from past clients and see their babies grow via email or Facebook (and a few in-person), I am thrilled to continue to watch them learn, develop, and bond with their families. I'm lucky to be doing something I love and touching people's lives and I'm ready to grow this business even more in the coming year.

Stay tuned for some announcements, new offerings, and opportunities for doula connections and comraderie with my fellow birth workers. I'm also planning to add a series of "Ask the doula" questions and answers here on my blog so please feel free to ask below in the comments or email me through my contact form if you have any specific questions you'd like answered. I hope that 2015 is good to you and those you love!
